The Driving Alternative Inc. commenced operations in August 1997 and has supplied service to millions of Canadians. The company was founded by Dave Dick who is a firm believer that together we can all do more than each of us can do independently. Dave is still active in the company affairs and controls the day to day operations of the business.

The corporate home office is based in Calgary, Alberta with seven locations throughout Western Canada. There are presently two Keys Please^® Driving Alternative^® locations that are company owned.

We have recently made a significant investment in the purchase of a central dispatch system. Most dispatching will be done out of Calgary for all of Canada. The central dispatch system allows us to field calls in less than fifteen seconds, dispatch in real time and with the GPS have visual controls within 39 centimeters on all units throughout the world. The system is the only one of its kind in the world.

Corporate Philosophy

The company is to provide franchisees with the training, guidance and tools to market their franchise locations, maximizing time and minimizing expenses. To supply to each franchisee where applicable a central dispatch increasing profits and reducing costs.

The Industry

The designated driving business is a new concept in the business world and we are proud to be the pioneers setting the standards for those too come. Impaired driving laws are changing and the public is becoming more aware of the consequences.
